One of the first and most outstanding commissions developed was the translation of the scientific article entitled: "Analysis of the spatial extension of daily life and access to urban functions in a metropolitan context through individual tracking data and land use."; Article of authorship of the architect in charge. Knowledge of the English language at an advanced level allowed the development of an exhaustive translation according to the references cited in it, as well as a greater investigation on topics related to the variables and indicators of the article. Terms such as “activity spaces”, “spatial extension” and “personal tracking” (related to Urban Mobility) were understood in depth for a clear explanation in the structure of the English language. It should be noted that the entire article was reviewed by the indexed journal of great relevance in urban studies called: “Journal of Urban Affairs”.

PRELIMINARY STAGE

As a starting point, a first general reading of the article was provided, understanding the methodology and theoretical framework, emphasizing the referenced authors, theories and concepts cited. It should be noted that most of the references were from articles originally in English, so it was necessary to use the paraphrased terms and not a direct translation in order to create coherence with the subsequent translation.

STAGE ONE: READING THE MOST IMPORTANT REFERENCED ARTICLES

Once having the important conceptual terms, we proceeded to read the articles of origin in the original language. This allows to have a greater number of words and terms related to the article in addition to understanding with greater accuracy the origin of the methodology and development of the article to be translated.

SECOND STAGE: TRANSLATION PROCESS

Based on the understood and assimilated terminology, we proceed to grammatically analyze the content of the article to be translated. The process that was chosen is the separation of sentences, this by identifying the subject, verb and predicate. This method is also used in the teaching of English which allows the formation of complete and understandable sentences, as well as greater order in writing. It should be noted that in the translation of articles or any formal writing, contractions are not used. The translation of the article consisted of textual writing, as well as the translation of its graphics, which were edited in a similar way, whether maps, methodological tables or tables. The article consists of a total of 28 pages, all translated and adapted to the basic format of the magazine.

THIRD STAGE: FIRST VERSION OF THE TRANSLATED ARTICLE FOR REVIEW

In the second month of development, the review from Lic. Ernesto Suarez (reviewing translator) of the first translated version of the article was received via institutional mail for uploading to the indexed journal. In the Word document file, the reviewer's comments were analyzed for later final correction.

FOURTH STAGE: FINAL TRANSLATION AND UPLOADING TO THE SYSTEM

Once the final translation was corrected, we proceeded to clean it based on the base format of the magazine for later uploading to the system. In this case it is necessary to register on the website to upload the file. The guide provided virtually by the magazine was taken into account at all times.
